Choosing the best places to visit in the South West was never going to be easy. But we've given it a go anyway.
Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire offer some of the most beautiful locations in the country. We've probably missed out plenty of hidden gems, so if there's somewhere else that you think should have made the cut, please let us know!
We could have written a list that would literally be in the hundreds - but we just about managed to narrow it down. These five places are extra special, and what better way to explore them than in a
converted camper. Offering you the freedom and comfort to travel and relax.

Places To Visit #1: Wells (and the Mendips)
Situated in the foothills of the Mendips is the historic City of Wells. One of the smallest cities in the country, Wells is home to a beautiful Cathedral, as well as Vicars Close - claimed to be the oldest residential street in Europe. After taking at tour around the Bishops Palace, you can wander down the High Street (you may recognise it if you've ever watched Hot Fuzz!). With wonderful walks available in the Mendips, as well as attractions such as Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole Caves, you will not run out of things to do. It is also in close proximity to Glastonbury, where you can find Glastonbury Tor, quirky shops and even take a trek around the festival site (please check the rules on where you are allowed before visiting).
Places To Visit #2: The Quantocks
Nestled in the very south west of Somerset, The Quantocks are an area of outstanding natural beauty. Consisting of oak woodland, ancient parklands and mass heathlands, the Quantocks are a really opportunity to get in touch with nature. The Quantocks are filled with glorious walks, cosy pubs and cute villages. There is plenty of history to get stuck in to or, if you are looking for activities you will find Kilve Court Residential and Outdoor Learning Centre in the north. It is also a short distance from the wonderful town of Taunton, which has plenty to offer - from food and drink to shopping to activities.
Places To Visit #3: Dartmoor National Park
Dartmoor National Park is a sprawling moorland running through the heart of Devon. There are plenty of different parts of Dartmoor to visit and see, with many of the towns offering their own unique charm. There are museums, ruins and tors to explore if you are so inclined. Or take a walk or cycle across the moorlands, unlocking incredible views. There is plenty to do in
Dartmoor, and it is well worth your time.
Places To Visit #4: Durdle Door
Durdle Door is a national limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast, a short hop from Lulworth in Dorset. It is part of the Lulworth Estate, with
Durdle Door Holiday Park offering the space to pitch up and enjoy the area.
Durdle Door is a must-see for any trip to this region. From camping to rock-pooling, walking to coasteering, photography to nature walks, or to just enjoying the stunning views. There’s plenty to do and see here.
Places To Visit #5: Lands End
The most South-Westerly part of England is a must see on a trip to Cornwall. Just a few miles from Penzance, it is full of things to do. Cliff top trails provide breathtaking views over some incredible scenery, or ride some waves at one of the beautiful nearby beaches. There are shops, lovely local cafes and restaurants and plenty of other attractions to keep you occupied.
